Summer holiday in Antalya

Antalya is a Turkish Riviera and is the most stunning location on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. It is typical for Turkey, a thriving modern city with a historic heart in the Centre of Kaleiçi within the old city walls. This area has seen some aspects of a Renaissance in recent years with many of the Ottoman wooden house, which have been restored and turned into boutique hotels. No cars in the narrow streets of the old town are allowed, so it is a good place, the atmosphere to enjoy the charming port.

The symbol of Antalya is the gentle minaret or Yivli Minare built by the Seljuks in the 13th century. There are many interesting pieces in the Archaeological Museum of the palaeolithic age right through to Ottoman times.

Antalya has a breathtaking mountain scenery, and the city is located on cliffs with many of its grandest hotels overlooking the sea on the outskirts of the city. The beach area of Lara, about 12 km to the East are home to the best beach in the area, which is famous for its golden sand and, rightly so, quickly become a popular holiday resort.


To the West lies the Long Pebble Beach of Konyaalti and is also popular. Conductive in the mountains, can you the largest part of the beautiful landscape beobchten, by you can visit the spectacular Düden or the Kursunlu falls. At Saklikent, just 50 km from the city centre, you can ski run even, where they usually have snow on the slopes until early April.

There are many resorts like Alanya, Belek, Kalkan, Kas, kekova, Kemer, Olympos, Patara, side within the borders of Antalya.
